Village Vanguard Co., Ltd. operates approximately 300 stores nationwide that sell books and general goods in a fused display under the keyword "bookstore where you can play." They have adopted new methods such as fusion of books and general goods for over 30 years, and in recent years, they have been carrying out promotions mainly targeting younger generations, such as initiatives on SNS and the sale of collaboration products.
We interviewed Mr. Tateyama and Mr. Morimoto of Village Vanguard Co., Ltd., who introduced Clomoni this time.
--First, please introduce yourself.
I am Tateyama, who belongs to the promotion strategy department.
I am Morimoto, who also belongs to the promotion strategy department.
I am in charge of sales promotion using SNS and Clomoni.
--What kind of issues did you have, and why did you consider introducing cloud signage?
In recent years, there have been video initiatives on SNS and homepages, but as a company with many physical stores, we were considering how we could somehow broadcast videos in our stores.
In our management style, we leave store layout creation to the store managers and staff, so the start of our consideration for implementation was whether we could do something like have the staff bring content they like back to headquarters and then have it played simultaneously at various stores.
--Among the options, why did you choose our service, "Clomoni"?
We introduced it because the intuitive CMS, which allows creating playlists by uploading video and image materials to the cloud, has a low hurdle for operation and we thought that even our staff could use it.
Also, after discussions with your company's representative, we judged that the operation we want to realize is possible, so we introduced it.
--What kind of information are you actually broadcasting using "Clomoni"?
Currently, we have implemented it mainly in flagship stores in major cities and use it widely for product promotion, campaign notifications, and broadcasting original videos. Currently, we sell more than 200 new products and collaboration products per year, and we post videos created by our staff appearing in them to SNS and elsewhere as notifications. Among those, being able to update the broadcast content in real time, such as immediately putting a "buzzy" video on Clomoni, is helpful, as it allows us to operate in a planned manner in accordance with product sales status and SNS reactions.

--How is the implementation effect?
Most recently, when we broadcast a project video for "voon," a platform we operate where anyone can easily sell T-shirts they have made themselves, on Clomoni, we had an increase of over 800 in traffic compared to the previous week.
We also gained new members and exhibitors, and since we operate on the assumption that there will be a certain amount of viewing, we believe that it is effective.

--Did you get any feedback from your staff and employees?
The reaction from management was very positive, and we are also using it as a differentiation tool unique to our company that other companies cannot imitate by broadcasting videos and product announcement images created by our staff ourselves.
Previously, there were monitors in each store, and each store performed the broadcasting of their own promotional videos, but managing this was very difficult, and that has been resolved since introducing Clomoni. We are also thinking about a plan to "monitor-jack" all stores on the day of a product release, which is well received by both the field and headquarters.
Shibuya Store
--Could you tell us about your future prospects?
We aim to introduce it to stores in all prefectures, and we are thinking of enriching the videos and content that can only be seen when visiting the store in the future, and utilizing it as a tool to promote store visits.
First, we are planning to aim for implementation in 50 stores. Clomoni is really reasonable, so we would like to grow it so that cost-effectiveness will continue to increase and it will become a tool that is our company's strength, and we would like to increase the number of stores in the next term and the term after that.
--Thank you for sharing your valuable story with us in your busy schedule.
If you are interested in cloud signage that allows for real-time content updates, like Village Vanguard Corporation, please feel free to contact "Clomoni."
We will propose the best plans and functions for each company.
"Clomoni" is a cloud-based digital signage that combines intuitive operability and multifunctionality. Since it can distribute and manage content to stores nationwide at once, it significantly improves the operational efficiency of in-store promotions. Because BEEATS has strengths in spatial design and fixture production, total proposals including the development of original fixtures tailored to the installation location are also possible. Leveraging our knowledge of in-store marketing, we support the creation of a mechanism for effective information dissemination.
