On Friday, September 27, 2024, at "AdverTimes Days 2024 (Autumn) Tokyo," a seminar and exhibition event organized by Sendenkaigi Co., Ltd. that discusses useful information for marketing practice, President Matahiro Kashiwagi took the stage in a seminar with Koichiro Inada, President of REGALI, to discuss signage solutions utilizing UGC (User Generated Content).
This article presents excerpts from the seminar. The full content is available in full. Archived video You can check it out there, so please apply.
※ The archived video is available in Japanese only.

Matahiro Kashiwagi (BEEATS / hereafter, Kashiwagi): In recent years, the content that contributes to sales growth on e-commerce sites has changed. Among these, the impact of UGC content, such as user reviews, on product sales has become extremely significant.
Mr. Koichiro Inada (REGALI / hereinafter referred to as Inada): That's right. I think everyone feels the importance of reviews in their daily lives, not just on EC sites. For example, when deciding "where should we go for a business meal?", you wouldn't choose a restaurant with a 3.1 rating, would you? After all, when choosing something, I think we often unconsciously refer to the voices of consumers and users who share the same perspective as us, rather than just what the company communicates.

Kashiwagi: Content that contributes to sales growth includes not only reviews but also "videos." We are truly in an era where people "choose things using video." Centered on Gen Z, "where information is searched" has changed; it has become common to acquire information through social media like Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok instead of gathering it on websites. I have the impression that companies good at using video are also growing in e-commerce.
Inada: Yes, there are actually an increasing number of cases where videos are effectively used on e-commerce sites, such as short videos that concisely convey features consumers want to know—like "you don't need to read the product description text if you have this!"—or posting Instagram Reels featuring staff members on product pages.
―For more details on examples of using reviews and videos on e-commerce sites by introducing REGALI's "LEEEP," please watch the archived video.

Kashiwagi: Information sent out by companies is important, but I think that the voices of customers who are users of the product are content that sells = content that contributes to sales even more than that.
Although various UGC content is utilized on e-commerce sites, I think that online information has not been able to spread effectively to offline (real stores).
Therefore, we focused on utilizing profitable UGC content, such as reviews and videos, not only on e-commerce sites (online) but also offline (in real stores), and conceived a new service called "UGC Signage," as mentioned in the lecture title.

Kashiwagi: BEEATS has entered into a business alliance with REGALI to co-develop "UGC Signage," which optimizes UGC content (reviews + videos) that contributes most to sales in e-commerce for display on in-store signage.

For more information on the UGC signage "UGC Clomoni," please check the service page.
Thank you for reading to the end. In this lecture, we talked in detail about what content contributes to sales increases, examples and effects of e-commerce sites utilizing UGC and videos, and "UGC Clomoni," a UGC signage service that utilizes UGC offline (in real stores) to heighten purchase intent. For details, please be sure to watch the archived video.
"UGC Clomoni" is currently undergoing PoC (Proof of Concept) for a scheduled launch in fiscal year 2026.
If you are interested in participating in a PoC, please feel free to contact us.
