BEEATS CO.,LTD. (Representative Director: Matahiro Kashiwagi, Chuo-ku, Osaka, hereinafter "BEEATS") collaborated with Miuraya Co., Ltd. (Representative Director: Yukio Kuramochi, Suginami-ku, Tokyo, hereinafter "Miuraya"), which develops 7 food supermarkets in Tokyo, to conduct a demonstration experiment of remote wine sales handled by JALUX Inc. (Representative Director: Satoru Takahama, hereinafter "JALUX") of the Japan Airlines Group. When we notified customers via digital signage at the store entrance and sales staff with product knowledge provided remote customer service on the sales floor, the number of units sold per day was 8.25 bottles on average on days when remote customer service was implemented, which is about 7 times the 1.13 bottles on days when it was not implemented. BEEATS aims to promote the wide adoption of remote customer service and digital signage in the retail industry as a means of selling value-added products, starting with wine.
| Implementation Date | Total of 4 days: Thursday, June 15, Friday, June 16, Thursday, June 29, and Friday, June 30, 2023 |
| Implementation | Miuraya Coppice Kichijoji store (Musashino-shi), Shoan store (Suginami-ku) |
| Target Products | Chilean wine "Errazuriz" Chile's highest-peak winery, founded in 1870 and celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2020. Having own vineyards in the Aconcagua Valley, which is one of the world's leading terroirs, from that cool production area, wines that have condensed feeling and yet elegant taste characteristics, and are easy to pair with food are being made. |
| Used System | Remote customer service system "Enkaku-san" Digital signage "Clomoni" |
We installed monitors in the wine sales floors of two stores and sales staff monitored the store floor from a studio in a different location in Tokyo. We engaged shoppers, displayed slides conveying the appeal of "Errazuriz" on the monitors, and introduced them. By introducing product features and well-matched menus, we promoted the awareness and purchase of the "Errazuriz" brand.

We introduced "Erasuriz" through digital signage announcements, staff outreach, and customer service in the studio. Customers who experienced remote customer service told us, "I don't know how to choose wine, so this kind of service is very helpful."
In the POS data of the two stores, a total of 50 bottles of "Errazuriz" were purchased during the sales measurement period (19 days from June 14 (Wed) to July 2 (Sun), 2023), 33 of which were purchased on the 4 days when remote customer service was implemented. The average daily sales was 8.25 bottles, which is about 7 times the 1.13 bottles on days when remote customer service was not implemented.

From the above, it has been demonstrated that the introduction of remote customer service "Enkaku-san" has a sales expansion effect.
Mr. Kuto, Wine Division, JALUX Food & Beverage Business Headquarters
I saw great potential in being able to provide customer service to multiple stores while in one location. It is difficult to fully explain products for which selection criteria are hard to understand without explanation using only in-store POP, but with "Enkaku-san," we were able to provide proposals accurately tailored to customer needs. I also felt that the ability to display materials while explaining makes this a very complete proposal tool. On the other hand, through practice, I also realized the difficulties, such as the need for remote-specific outreach and customer service skills.
Mr. Wakabayashi, Miuraya Coppice Kichijoji Store
Even in supermarkets, regarding alcohol sales, unlike department stores and liquor stores, there is a lack of employees with specialized knowledge, so there is a major issue with face-to-face customer service. I felt the possibility of capturing new customers as a tool that can provide professional explanations to customers who are worried about purchasing criteria.
I was worried about my menu, and they were kind enough to suggest a dinner menu that would go well with wine, which was very helpful. The food I made at home and the wine they recommended paired well, and I was able to enjoy the meal. It was my first time receiving remote customer service, but the explanation was very easy to understand.
This is a proprietary service developed by BEEATS that allows for simultaneous monitoring of multiple locations and remote customer service (voice calls) with each. By implementing "Enkaku-san," operators (reception and service staff) can conduct reception and customer service tasks remotely for customers in stores or facilities while working from their own homes or studios.
This is a distribution system that allows you to freely manage monitors in stores and commercial facilities nationwide from your personal computer.
