Yappli, Inc., provider of the app platform "Yappli." They began offering their new service, "Yappli UNITE," which aims to strengthen organizational engagement with in-house apps, in August 2023.
BEEATS was in charge of producing the exhibition booth for their participation in a new trade show for the purpose of expanding awareness of "Yappli UNITE." Today, Ryu, General Manager of Sales at BEEATS, interviewed Ms. Matsushita of Yappli's Marketing Division.
Shotaro Ryu (BEEATS / hereinafter, Ryu): Thank you for your time today. First, please introduce yourself.
Ms. Ayaka Matsushita (Yappli / hereinafter, Matsushita): Thank you as well. My name is Matsushita from Yappli. I belong to the Marketing Division and am mainly in charge of offline marketing. While in charge of trade shows, seminars, events, etc., I am involved in awareness-raising measures for "Yappli UNITE."

Ryu: Could you please introduce "Yappli UNITE"?
Matsushita: "Yappli UNITE" is a service to strengthen organizational engagement using in-house apps. Not only for measurement and analysis, but it also unites the organization by disseminating various actions and measures from the app. With in-house apps built by combining the no-code (no programming required) "Yappli" and "Yappli CRM," organizations and employees can connect more easily, directly, and securely than ever before.
"Yappli" has been utilized as a no-code app development platform to solve issues in a wide range of industries, from store and e-commerce marketing support such as apparel and food and beverage, to schools, government, and the entertainment industry.
Since the COVID-19 pandemic, as work styles have diversified, such as the coexistence of office work and remote work, we have received more inquiries about wanting to revitalize organizational strength and internal communication through apps, and development support for internal apps has increased.
In addition, with the "mandatory disclosure of human capital" for listed companies applied from the fiscal year ending March 2023, there is a growing interest in capturing talent as capital and increasing organizational strength, so we released "Yappli UNITE", a service specializing in improving organizational engagement, by repurposing know-how for toC into the toE domain.

Ryu: Did you decide to exhibit at the exhibition immediately after the service launch in August?
Matsushita: Yes, I believe trade shows are the most effective means for acquiring a large volume of high-quality leads. Yappli has always valued exhibiting at trade shows and participates in an average of three per month. For our new service, "Yappli UNITE," we needed to increase awareness first and also wanted to confirm the market's response, so we decided to exhibit right away.
Ryu: When I received your request for a proposal, I visited Yappli's office and was impressed by how stylish the space was. Since I thought you were a company that places great importance on design, I felt a sense of resolve regarding our proposal.
Matsushita: Thank you. Yappli is very conscious of design. While we want to be a company that feels advanced, we also want people to feel the warmth that is characteristic of Yappli.

Ryu: To make the proposal, BEEATS first placed "Yappli-ness" as the center of the plan.
We set the concept that Yappli is a "company that provides comfortable UX" and incorporated it into the design and booth composition for our proposal.
Matsushita: Actually, it was a competition among five companies, and that was exactly the reason why we chose BEEATS. While we were exploring how to express the world view of "Yappli UNITE" at the exhibition booth, your proposal was the most advanced in content.
We were convinced by the concept of "comfort," which we had not even been able to verbalize ourselves, and what we wanted to express was designed into it.

Ryu: Thank you. Since "Yappli UNITE" is a service whose customers are from different departments than Yappli's previous customers, we prioritized having a booth with high eye-catching power to expand awareness, and first and foremost, ensuring it was conveyed that "Yappli is a company that provides apps."
We put effort into every detail, such as placing a large smartphone-shaped sign and using lighting designs that mimic the shape of an app icon.
Actually, canopy-style lighting is often used in the world's most advanced store designs, and I thought it was a perfect fit for Yappli's image as an advanced company.
Matsushita: Is that so? I didn't know that! In any case, it was a wonderful proposal. There were many items in the competition selection process, but to be honest, minor parts can be corrected as you go. What we placed the most importance on was the booth's uniqueness and advancement, and first and foremost, a design that would let people understand that we are "a company that creates apps."

Ryu: Please share your impressions of BEEATS during the preparation period from the time our proposal was adopted until the actual event.
Matsushita: With very little time until the event, you were very supportive and responded speedily. I was grateful that you carefully incorporated our detailed requests into the design.
And above all, BEEATS' supportive attitude is wonderful. While multiple tasks were running in parallel, you provided reminders for even the smallest confirmation items, and at the end, you even took care of the logistics side.
Ryu: Thank you. Since BEEATS also exhibits at trade shows, I understand the struggles of the exhibiting side well. There is really a lot to do, isn't there?
Matsushita: Exactly. You even understand the unique rules of the organizer for each exhibition and say things like, "Shall I order these fixtures?", which was very helpful.

Ryu: And so the day of the event arrived; how was it?
Matsushita: Thanks to you, we were able to end it with a great success. We have cleared the goal regarding the number of leads acquired. Also, as a new trial, you also included a visitor measurement mechanism, so I would like to make use of it in future exhibition management.
Ryu: This time, we introduced our own service, "Clomoni AI," to the trade show booth. This is a system that investigates the so-called viewing rate—"how many people actually looked at the monitor"—for the monitor installed at the booth, and we were able to extract some interesting data, weren't we?
Matsushita: Until now, there was no way to measure how many customers were paying attention to the Yappli booth, and there were parts that had to rely on the staff's impression. This time, by introducing signage that can measure viewership, we were able to know which video content was attracting attention among the videos we were streaming. In the future, I want to know more about what kind of content and keywords attract visitors' attention.

Ryu: Finally, please let us know your expectations for BEEATS in the future.
Matsushita: As I mentioned at the beginning, Yappli plans to continue strengthening our trade show participation. In doing so, we need to prepare various deployment patterns according to the number of booth spaces and the flow of the venue. We look forward to BEEATS' support in designing the optimal approach for each occasion.
Ryu: Yes, supporting the customer's journey is a specialty of BEEATS, so please leave it to us.
Thank you very much for taking time out of your busy schedule today. We look forward to working with you in the future.
Matsushita: Not at all. We would like to continue requesting your support. Thank you for your time today.
Thank you for reading until the end.
